When I am in Kyiv, Puzata Hata is one of my favorite places to eat as this franchise with several locations throughout Ukraine offers traditional Ukrainian food that is fresh, hearty, and amazingly inexpensive.
Puzata Hata is a cafeteria-style restaurant where you go through a line and choose from a variety of salads, soups, entrees, side dishes, bread, desserts, and drinks. Once you have finished selecting your food, you pay at a cashier and seat yourself in a dining area. Speaking of the dining area, I think it is worth noting that I have eaten at several Puzata Hata locations throughout Kyiv and in Lviv. No matter how busy they are, they always do an exceptional job of keeping the dining area almost spotlessly clean.
In addition to traditional Ukrainian salads such as Olivye, Puzata Hata offers international favorites such as chicken Ceaser and Greek salad. Traditional Ukrainian borscht and solyanka soups are served daily.
