Hard Rock Cafe in Warsaw, Poland Eastern Europe

On my first evening in Warsaw, Poland, I decided to visit the Hard Rock Cafe in the city. While at the Hard Rock Warsaw, I found an eclectic collection of musical instruments and music history paraphernalia to explore that covered alternative, metal, punk, the 60s, and more. Here are a few pieces of the collection that caught my eye and some linear notes of the artists to go along with them.

Depeche Mode Guitar

The first guitar that caught my eye was a white Fender Stratocaster from Depeche Mode. I have enjoyed Depeche Mode’s music for several years and also seen them live a few summers ago in Kyiv, Ukraine, so I was excited to see this guitar. I’ve also enjoyed playing Fender Stratocasters in the past, so I dug this guitar.

Forming in 1980 in Basildon, Essex, England, Depeche Mode, known for their alternative electro-rock style and sound, has been around for over four decades, releasing albums and touring worldwide. Depeche Mode has sold over one hundred million records worldwide. One of their most popular songs is Enjoy The Silence from the studio album Violator.

Steve Miller Band Guitar

Steve Miller’s Guitar from 1978

The blue metallic Yamaha Les Paul style guitar was used by Steve Miller when he opened for Fleetwood Mac in 1978. Steve Miller formed the Steve Mill Band in 1966, and they released their first album, Children of the Future, in 1968. Steve had no problem passing off a guitar to the Hard Rock Cafe as he stated in 2011 that he owns over 450 guitars!

Steve Miller joined the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016. His last two releases were in 2010 and 2011, Bingo!, a blues cover album, and Let Your Hair Down, a companion album to Bingo!. From 2010 to 2011, Miller also taught students at USC Thornton School of Music.

Linkin Park Bass

Linkin Park Bass

Here is an electric bass guitar from Linkin Park. I was never much of a Linkin Park fan, but I know they have a lot of fans out there, so I decided to include the picture. I can’t tell you much about this bass as the plaque below only says Linkin Park. If Linkin Park used the bass on an album or a tour is a mystery to me.

Linkin Park is a band from California that formed in 1996. Four years after formation, the band released their first studio album, Hybrid Theory, in 2000, which was the original name of their music band. Their first album, Hybrid Theory, became Diamond Certified by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Popular songs from the album include Crawling and In the End.
